Shopping Gate is building Saudi Arabia's most ambitious super-app — a single platform that combines grocery delivery, food ordering, ride-hailing, travel booking, digital services, and payments. Available on App Store, Google Play, and App Gallery with a 4.4-star rating, Shopping Gate partners with leading Saudi brands including NANA, The Chefz, HyperPay, and Tamara. The product vision: replace the fragmentation of multiple apps with one seamless experience for Saudi consumers.
The Challenge
Building a super-app is not an engineering problem alone — it requires a full cross-functional organization: product managers to define the roadmap, engineers to build it, designers to make it intuitive, QA to keep quality high, growth managers to drive acquisition, and financial planning to manage unit economics. Shopping Gate needed all of this built from scratch, fast, and from India. Local Saudi hiring for this breadth of roles was impractical at the speed and cost they needed.
